A rain-drop detection sensor module that senses water bridging the interleaved traces of an exposed sensing plate. Analog and threshold outputs connect to a microcontroller for rain alarms, weather-station projects, and irrigation control. The plate is affected by contamination and corrosion, so it indicates wetness rather than measuring rainfall.
