About this product
The MQ-9 metal-oxide gas sensor responds to carbon monoxide and combustible gases by changing its sensing resistance. A load resistor, a warm-up period, calibration, and the specified heater cycle are needed before the analog output can be read meaningfully. It is intended for experimental gas alarms and air-monitoring projects rather than certified life-safety equipment.
