N-channel HEXFET power MOSFET rated 55 V in a TO-220 package, with a maximum 17.5 mohm on-resistance specified at a 10 V gate drive and 25 A test current. It is used for DC motor, solenoid, LED, and heater switching where a proper gate driver is available. The IRFZ44N is not a logic-level device and should not be confused with the IRLZ44N.
