An I2C backpack based on the PCF8574 port expander that converts the parallel interface of 1602 and 2004 character LCDs to a two-wire bus. Contrast adjustment and address-selection pads are provided, so several boards can share the same bus. Using it cuts the number of microcontroller GPIO pins required by an HD44780-compatible display.
