A seven-segment LED display in common-cathode configuration, with the segment cathodes joined to a shared terminal and each anode brought out separately. Segments are driven through individual current-limiting resistors, either from microcontroller pins or through a shift register for multiplexed digits. It suits counters, clocks, panel meters and other numeric readouts.
