A rotary potentiometer marked B5K, giving a nominal 5 kohm resistance with a linear taper and supplied with a knob. The three terminals work as an adjustable voltage divider, while the wiper and one end form a variable resistor. Linear tracking makes it convenient for analog inputs, calibration, level setting and panel controls.
