The A4988 stepper driver carrier controls one bipolar stepper motor from STEP and DIR inputs with full, half, quarter, eighth, and sixteenth-step microstepping. It works from an 8 to 35 V motor supply and provides adjustable current regulation to match the motor winding. Cooling and correct current-limit adjustment determine how much current the board can deliver.
